Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate a health production function of Bangladesh. It searches how individual health is related to socio-economic and demographic variables. Ordinary least squares (OLS) regression model has been used for examining socio-demographic parameters shock upon individual health status. This model is statistically significant. This investigation provides an important role in that individual data gives an insight on how to get better you overall health status. This study finds that age, gender, income, education, doctor visits, number of days refrain from work, access to health care service, and affordability to health care service have a mammoth consequence on health status. It shows an interesting picture that the persons who are suffering from diseases possessing least health and they are compelled to go doctor for treatment. Most of the cases people have no access and affordability to meet up health care cost. A large amount of income declines due to sufferings from diseases. When a person is suffering from diseases, it will decrease productivity of a person.
