Abstract

This piece was prepared for the "Mini-Symposium on Contract Boilerplate" presented by the University of Toronto in April 2013. Various comments on my book, "Boilerplate: The Fine Print, Vanishing Rights, and the Rule of Law" (Princeton 2013) were delivered at the symposium. This piece briefly summarizes the book, then responds to comments. Most of the comments, along with my responses to all of them, were published in 54 Canadian Business Law Journal 246-306 (2013).

Keywords: boilerplate, fine print, contract, rule of law
