National Climate Change Policy Objective, Strategy & Action Plans

Abstract

When a country reaches a level of self-awareness about what its future direction is; that is the time to put to pen the plan that will take it there. The National Climate Change Policy (NCCP) is one of those plans for Pakistan, it passed a process where national and internationally renowned scholars and subject specialist prepared a set of guidelines so that the NCCP could be drafted. When the draft of NCCP was ready for review in 2010-11, a much lengthy debate was started. It focused on two things: 1. what would implementation strategies and action plans look like; and 2. what would be the financial source for implementation of NCCP. The compilation here is one of the initial drafts of Action Plans for Pakistan NCCP.
