Abstract

The survey was administered to 400 randomly selected University of Lagos (UNILAG) students via questionnaire. The study is to know more about the university life for students at UNILAG main campus. However, the data collected from the Student indicates that statistically there is no significant different between male and female opinions regarding developing openness to new ideas and to different cultures in UNILAG. Students strongly agreed that to developing openness to new ideas in university will add to their academic quality. Students also believed that developing openness to different cultures in university will inculcate into them diversification and to develop stronger relationships, test out their ideas, sharpen organizational and communication skills, gain managing and leadership experience and broaden their horizons outside academic life.
