Abstract:     
This paper aims to shed some lights on the empirical literature about the effects of minimum wage on brazilian labor market and income distribution. In addition to point to stylized facts we also tried to motivate new research lines in this area. We overview the contents of each contribution describing which questions are answered and which are still with no satisfactory answer.
