Models of International Economic Justice
Ethan B. Kapstein INSEAD - Economics and Political Sciences December 2002 Abstract: Free trade is efficient, but is it just? Many scholars, activists, and non-governmental organizations argue that it is not. But what do we mean when we say that the international economy is unjust? The purpose of this article is to address that question by matching existing theories of international economic justice with models and data, in an effort to bring clarity and rigor to contemporary debates.
