Abstract:
A new smoothing approach based on entropic perturbationis proposed for solving mathematical programs withequilibrium constraints. Some of the desirableproperties of the smoothing function are shown. Theviability of the proposed approach is supported by acomputationalstudy on a set of well-known test problems.
