Grantor Standing to Enforce Charitable Transfers under Section 405(C) of the Uniform Trust Code and Related Law: How Important Is It and How Extensive Should It Be?Ronald ChesterNew England Law | Boston Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Journal, Vol. 37, No. 612, Winter 2003 Abstract: This Article examines the grant of standing to settlors (or grantors) of charitable trusts by section 405(C) of the Uniform Trust Code. The Article argues that grantors should have standing to enforce express, individualized contractual arrangements with the charity that accompanies the gift, and that standing might be extended to successors of institutional grantors as well as executors and administrators of individual grantors.
