Abstract:
Remittances - money sent from an immigrant to his or her home country - is an important service for microfinance clients and represents a significant market opportunity for microfinance institutions. This InSight details the results of ACCION's research to understand the motivations of remittance senders and recipients, to explore product enhancements that could help both senders and recipients meet their financial goals, and to understand the characteristics important for a remittance delivery system.
