Abstract

The paper explores the relationship between WTO Law and Public International as interpreted by WTO Panels and the Appellate Body. It does so by stating the jurisdiction of the Dispute Settlement Body, the sources of law applicable in WTO Dispute Settlement and by defining what WTO Law means. Finally, a study on conflict of laws in International Law, having the WTO as the central theme is offered, followed by suggestions on how to solve conflicts between public international law norms and WTO Law, the latter an specialised regime in international law.
