Basic Aspects of the Pedagogy of the New Universalist HumanismEstela M. RomeroAsoc. La Comunidad para el desarrollo humano Robaldo Daniel Cesar Sr.FUNDACION DAVINCI - Inst. Pedagógico- May 4, 2007 Abstract: All pedagogy is based in a conception of Man, therefore, an underlying philosophy exists, like an anthropological vision of the human being. As a science of education, pedagogy has methods, systems of case analysis and levels of interpretation of the process of Education and Learning. This is why there must exist not only a philosophical glance to the human, but also a look into cognitive processes. The New Universalist Humanism, as this current of thought is known was initiatied by Silo (Dr. H.C. Mario Luis Rodriguez Cobos) in the '60s until his last works (Complete Works I & II) where he made important contributions to the cognitive field, like image psychology, space of representation and the psychology of impulses. These let us deepen into this work beyond Constructionism, a new pedagogic model.
