Abstract:
The article focuses on one limited but vexed issue - how to safeguard judicial independence and impartiality in the Cambodian Extraordinary Chambers (CEC). The author addresses some of the most problematic issues that she anticipates could diminish or hamper the possibility for judicial independence and impartiality at the CEC. To the extent possible, she offers workable and realistic suggestions for dealing with the situation.
