Redistributing Global Inequality: A Thought Experiment
Jozsef Borocz Rutgers University Economic and Political Weekly, February 2005 Abstract: This paper examines the fiscal feasibility of a plan for global inequality reduction, a project that can be defined as a large-scale, historic social process of social change aiming to diminish 'oligarchic wealth' in favour of a less extremely unbalanced structure of distribution. The analysis suggests that, on a purely fiscal basis, the possibility of an ambitious global redistribution project cannot be rejected.
