Abstract:
Possessing superior weapons and the will to kill, successive Russian regimes of the Czars, Stalin, Yeltsin, and Putin have tried hard to put down the Muslim rebellion (dream for independence) in this physically rugged, psychologically stubborn, and spiritually indomitable region.
