Closing My Eyes and Rememebring Myself: Reflections of a Lesbian Law ProfessorG. Kristian MiccioUniversity of Denver Sturm College of Law Columbia Journal of Gender and Law, Vol. 7, p. 167, 1997 Abstract: In a moving essay, Miccio reveals what it is like to be a lesbian and a law professor in an environment marked by it's homophobia. In a style reminiscent of Patricia Williams, Professor Miccio raises the notions of intersectionality and identity in how we teach and why we teach as we do. Moreover, in the section "On Objectivity," Miccio puts to rest once and for all the notion of detached objectivity in law, in pedagogy and in the world we inhabit.
