As the subject is very vast - it is restrained to India - to be more specific to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The article touches upon the female infanticide, girl child education, poverty, various laws related to women, the statistics of the offences against women, the safeguards to be taken and various governmental orders in this regard. The researcher suggests certain recommendations also in various areas such as education and empowerment of women. Ultimately, it is suggested the women are to be empowered in every aspect.
