Abstract

Public opinion surveys of adults in the country's 50 largest metropolitan areas, conducted between March and June 2006, suggest that Americans see home affordability as a local issues requiring local solutions appropriate for the specific market. Greater personalization of the issue promotes greater recognition of the need for more affordable homes for working families.
