Abstract
In this topical survey, the author reports on a Rhode Island case construing the rights of the parties in an agreement to dispose of property by will. The court ruled that the will and the agreement were independent of each other, and therefore, the breach of contract claims for repudiation of the agreement was actionable even during the lifetime of the of the party in breach.
