Abstract

The modern theories of the firm maintain a distinction between ownership and management. This distinction becomes operationally meaningful with good corporate governance. There can be a cultural transformation even in public enterprises when corporate governance practices are adopted. Corporate Ethics and Corporate Governance are the means by which individuals come to construe the basic values required in the functioning of a business enterprise. The success of Allcargo Logistics Limited (ALL) was basically the accomplishment of a single person who could win the confidence of his employees with sense of involvement made this success possible. Thus case study of ALL holds significance for its unique and socially useful performance, deserving attention of researchers in social and management sciences.
