Abstract
The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2015 is a swift move to cover the loopholes of the Companies Act, 2013 and to encourage businesses by increasing the ease of doing business in India. However, a scrupulous analysis of the Act reveals that except a few vital areas like that of related party transactions, it far from making any noteworthy impact in terms of corporate law & practice as many key concerns still remain unanswered.
