Abstract
Claiming that markets operate efficiently sounds like real insanity and it is blind to real evidence. There are jobs that require the highest know-how – like legal writing – yet they are extremely poorly remunerated. Of course, there are jobs that are well remunerated like Hollywood acting or being a partner at an international law firm, but these jobs are available only to a handful of job market candidates – and not necessarily always top candidates. Market inefficiencies are extremely high, as, on the one hand, top job candidates cannot necessarily get a suitable job, and, on the other hand, the available jobs – for instance, for top lawyers – are sometimes extremely low-paid in the very challenging areas, such as legal writing: indeed, it is the very top lawyers that can write appropriately – clearly, cogently, professionally, and with the mission of instructing the national, international, or global readership.
