Abstract

In line with climate change and green energy initiative by Government of India, a feasibility analysis of renewable energy production powered virtual power plants is taken up for this research paper. The paper critically makes an analysis and access the current scenario in India’s renewable energy resource production and how it will be beneficial for grid-tied VPP power plants. The paper analyses the various needs of the rural community as and assess the impacts of renewable energy while providing some insight into estimates, cost, and performance and site impacts. While highlighting the various means of renewable energy sources like wind, solar, biomass and their current potential, the paper also uses SPSS Multilayer Perceptron tool to analyze the VPP project feasibility for rural areas in India. In addition to it, paper provides a gist of governing policies that could assist the implementation of the VPP successfully.
