Abstract

Moisture of product in many industries decides quality of the product. Control over the moisture is very important. There are many methods used to measure moisture like electrical, nuclear, microwave moisture measurement, etc. These methods are so expensive. NIR signals are suitable for better accuracy. NIR measurement uses reflectance and absorption principle for calculating the moisture content of sample. Higher the moisture content, higher the absorption of light. By using particular band of NIR wavelength, the moisture measurement system will be developed.
