Abstract

This manuscript is mainly focused on the finding of key criterion which is involved in assessing the improvement of sustainability of textile wastewater management in India. The methodology involved purely on survey data through offline responses from ten different textile industries and nearly eight respondents is finally considered further analysis. Based on the survey report the following factors are considered such as labour input in the textile industry, textile industry productivity, policy implication, wastewater treatment and disposal, energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, textile reuse and recycling, dyes and additives, and improvement of sustainability-related performance such as Economic performance, Environmental impact and Operational performance respectively. Finally, fuzzy analytical hierarchy process approach (FAHP) is implemented to identify the best-selected criteria for sustainability of textile wastewater management.
