Abstract
This paper proposes the behavioral analysis of T shaped RC columns subjected to uniaxial bending coupled with axial load using an analytical method for the development of load-moment interaction curve. The use of rectangular and circular columns in the construction field is common because it is easy to analyze those columns. For the design of such columns to develop load-moment interaction curve the design procedure is already mentioned in SP-16. The application of T shaped column in construction is very less as there is no information is available in the code book. This paper deals with the study of T shaped column with the suitable modification in the development of load-moment interaction curve and also this paper provides the comparative study on rectangular column and ETABS software. The interaction curve is developed for M25, M30 grades of concrete and Fe415 and Fe500 grade of steel is considered.
