Desejos, medos e grau de satisfação com a vida de jovens estudantes do ensino secundário num concelho do interior de Portugal (Desires, Fears and Degree of Satisfaction with Life of Young Students of Secondary Education in a County in the Interior of Portugal)

Abstract

Portuguese Abstract: A Câmara Municipal de Évora está a elaborar o Plano Municipal de Juventude de Évora, documento que permitirá, por um lado, responder aos diversos desafios que se colocam à juventude; por outro, planear o desenvolvimento e implementação de políticas de juventude mais inovadoras de carácter global e transversal. Com base num inquérito por questionário aplicado a uma amostra aleatória de estudantes das escolas do concelho de Évora são apresentados os factores
que levam a uma maior satisfação com a vida por parte dos jovens, as principais ideias em torno do futuro e um conjunto de associações e correlações entre algumas das experiências por que anseiam e temem vir a passar nos próximos 10-15 anos.

English Abstract: The Municipality "Évora (a town from the interior of Portugal)" is preparing a Municipal Youth Plan that will allow, on the one hand, to respond to the various challenges to youth; on the other hand, to plan the development and implementation of more innovative youth policies of a global and transversal nature. Based on a questionnaire survey applied to a random sample of secondary schools students in the municipality of Évora, we present some factors that lead to a greater satisfaction with life, characterize some ideas for the future of these students and study some associations and correlations between some experiences that they desire and fear for the next 10-15 years.
