Abstract
The paper is devoted to the problem of information and communication technologies in the preparation of specialists of the faculty of pedagogy and psychology. We considered the following advantages of informatization of education in Russia as one of the most important mechanisms of modernization of the educational system -the possibility of organizing the process of cognition, supporting the activity approach to the educational process in all its links in the aggregate (needs - motives - goals - conditions - means - actions - operations); - individualization of the educational process while maintaining its integrity due to the programmability and dynamic adaptability of automated training programs; - a radical change in the organization of the process of cognition by shifting it toward system thinking; - the possibility of building an open education system that provides each individual with their own learning and self-learning trajectory; - creation of an effective management system for information and methodological support of education. In our opinion it is necessary to develop new concepts that ensure changes at the paradigm level. We made the conclusion that modified educational system, in which modern technologies will be balanced and reasonably combined with the achievements of pedagogy, will provide teachers and students with new opportunities and advantages: from passive perception of educational material to independent productive activities; from the reported learning to discussions and joint creative search; from dry points to an integrated assessment of the development of personal qualities; from limited trainee assistance to large-scale educational services; from one diploma to many diplomas and certificates that make up a comprehensive professional portrait of a specialist.
