Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of multi-national enterprises and the development of information and communication technologies in Russian and Asian countries. Multi-national enterprises have actively participated in the development of the production of goods and services in the information and communication technologies’ sector in Asian countries. In our opinion with we observe the participation of MNEs in the development of the sphere of ICT services in the Asian countries of the East, primarily in India. This participation was not always limited to direct investment. The scope of computer and information services and business support services has also developed on the basis of international outsourcing. We made the conclusion that Russia has some comparative advantages for the development of information and computer services, rather than for the development of remote services for commercial activities (BPO).The tasks that should be solved by the Russian Federation in order to achieve the goal of modernizing the economy are very complex. The experience of Eastern countries, including the use of MNEs in their own interests, deserves to be studied and used. Today there is a task - to create in Russia, if not Silicon Valley, then at least a “new Bangalore”.
