Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the Internet as the phenomenon of information culture. The transformations that have occurred in modern culture in connection with the development of information and communication technologies are considered. We considered the main features of the culture of the era of globalization in the context of the development of information and communication technologies. We concentrated on the new forms of human perception, which appeared along with the Internet and other computer technologies. The focus is on maximum user comfort, simplification of the processes with which he encounters in life, their computerization and internalization. We made the conclusion that the Internet is perceived by users not only as a means of exchanging information and a working tool but also as a reasonably comfortable environment for searching, experimenting, entertainment, and self-expression. Internet allows creating an environment for the development of information culture.
