Остромыслие в английском ренессансном сонете (Sharp Mindedness in the English Renaissance Sonnet)

Abstract

Russian Abstract: В плане всего проекта «Перевод ренессансного сонета как компаративная проблема», работа выполненная в июне-декабре 2018 года, представляет подробное изучение одного из важнейших (наряду с метафоричностью и рефлексией) аспектов, обеспечивающих непереводимость шекспировского сонета, представляющего важнейшую культурную характеристику эпохи, – остроумие/остромыслие. С этой трудностью которой столкнулись и далеко не вполне справились русские переводчики. Примеры взяты из сонетов Филипа Сидни, но преимущественно из шекспировского сборника. К числу решаемых в данном тексте теоретических проблем поэтики принадлежит проблема пародичности той тенденции, что получила название в истории литературы – антипетраркизм. Некомическая функция игры с петраркистской условностью демонстрирует остроумие в действии, исполняющее эволюционную роль в истории сонетной формы и в становления современной ментальности.

English Abstract: In terms of the whole project “Translation of the Renaissance Sonnet as a Comparative Problem”, the work done in June-December 2018 presents a detailed study of one of the most important (along with metaphorical and reflection) aspects that ensure the untranslatability of the Shakespeare's sonnet, which represents the most important cultural characteristic of the era - wittiness / sharp mindedness. This difficulty was faced by the Russian translators who were far from fully satisfied. Examples are from Philip Sidney's sonnets, but mostly from the Shakespeare collection. Among the theoretical problems of poetics solved in this text is the problem of the parodicity of the tendency that has received its name in the history of literature - antipetrarchism. The noncomical function of the game with the Petrarch convention demonstrates wittiness in action, playing an evolutionary role in the history of the sonnet form and in the formation of the modern mentality.
