Abstract

This paper is devoted to present an effcient approximate method for solving a certain class of fractional variational problems (FVPs). The fractional derivative in these problems is in the Caputo sense. The Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operator for Lagrange polynomials are derived. This operator is utilized to reduce the solution of the problem to a system of algebraic equations. Approximation errors are presented. The examples are included in order to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the suggested method.
