Financial Inclusion: Challenges in Governance

Abstract

Financial Inclusion becomes a challenge for the Indian Economy as a majority of the rural population is still not included in inclusive growth. These challenges are in the grass root levels of Governance incorporating State, Civil society and Markets. Although there are many policies implemented by the Government of India towards Financial inclusion, there are still challenges like accountability and efficiency of service deliveries. This paper talks about various policies implemented in India and the challenges faced by Governance in Indian Context suggesting various reforms to achieve good Governance.
