Abstract
Thirty-six states and territories have adopted the Uniform Bar Exam, including big-ticket states like New York and Texas, and our neighboring states of Illinois and Ohio. The exam questions are expertly drafted, lawyering tasks are tested, and scores are transferrable. The UBE has been endorsed by the Conference of Chief Justices, the ABA Sections of Law Practice and Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, and the ABA House of Delegates. What would it take for Michigan to join the movement?
Keywords: law schools, legal education, bar exam, bar admission, high-stakes testing
