Abstract

‘Acting in the best interest of the client’ is generally regarded as the key professional principle. But in certain circumstances ‘Barristers’ found themselves in dilemmas with other professional principles such as ‘the obligation to protect the rule of law’, ‘the administration of justice’ and ‘acting with integrity’ which actually raises the questions, how much emphasis should be given to the client’s interest? How zealous should lawyers be for their client?
