Navigating Mentoring and Inclusive Practice: Starting Inward, Moving Outward (Presentation Slides)

Abstract

Before establishing a philosophy and approach to integrating diversity and community engagement in your work, it’s important to examine your own intersectional identities and how they influence your world view and guiding principles. Next, I hope to share some examples of how we approach diversity and inclusion at UT-Austin. Like all PWIs we are working to address an exclusionary history – we’re not perfect.
