Desigualdades en América Latina y el Caribe (Inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean)

Abstract

Spanish Abstract: El propósito de este artículo es hacer una reflexión respecto a la desigualdad en América Latina y el Caribe, de esta manera se hacen abstracciones en tres dimensiones: la región frente a otras latitudes, diferencias entre países de la zona e introspección al interior de aquellos países más desiguales. Para ello se acude a los indicadores sociales y de desarrollo.

English Abstract: The purpose of this article is to reflect on inequality in Latin American and the Caribbean. An analysis is presented based on three dimensions: a comparison of the region vis-a-vis other latitudes, differences between countries in the region, and an analysis of the countries with the most inequality. Social and development indicators are used to meet these objectives.
