Abstract

Autonomous Cars are a technological miracle but we have to ask, is it really feasible to adopt driverless electric vehicles in India. India have its own hurdles those have to be dealt with before successfully implementing driverless cars. As electric transformation of Indian roads and traffic have bubbled up to top priority by government and locomotive manufacturers.

But what if we adapt only some features and sensors of complete driverless cars being developed by Tesla, Google, Uber and many more and make modify those features integrated right into our traffic and vehicle system while we are moving towards a subtle but aggressive transformation towards clean energy locomotives.

What if fastags and global positioning sensors to locate any vehicle in case of theft and break down. Generating a whole digital system in which if the planned dream of making India completely electric on road by 2030 connecting all vehicle connected to Aadhaar, Registry Certificate and driving License can be achieved.

Autonomous cars makers like Tesla and Google have developed system that monitors driver awareness throughout the drive. And Machine learning algorithms help the car understand different user and adapt according to their driving needs over time. Reading their health information through their mobile phone sensors and other fitness gadgets if available. Making electric smart vehicle much safer than current cars that have led us to development of autonomous cars in general. India is full of many motor enthusiasts and they would not accept driverless cars so easily when they still crave for manual transmission cars over automatic transmission and hybrid shift cars. But they would definitely love to buy a car with features like driver awareness system, automatic lane and speed management and car tracking systems along with smart virtual keys.
