Abstract
The purpose of this note is to provide some further detail to the human rights law issues raised by the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. This is a rapidly moving situation and new human rights issues and challenges arise every day. In this note, the following issues are considered: derogation from the ECHR (and HRA); the overarching Article 2 right to life duty; medical treatment for COVID-19 patients; lockdown and deprivation of liberty.
