Abstract
Media throughout the world is responsible for informing about the happenings in and around a particular locality beyond the man-made boundaries of nations. The integrity of media gets tested on the amount of valid information generated over any issue under its coverage. While on the eve of globalization where national boundaries are more or less losing their hold, several global issues have emerged in contemporary times about which if the entire humanity is not informed then such issues might lead to serious consequences. In such a situation media has a significant role in making the human population of the world aware of those global issues like Climate Change, Refugees, Global terrorism, etc. in addition to this the regulations and laws governing the media shall also be efficient. To make justice assessable for those who are not within the reach of any domestic judicial system.
Study on this subject matter is important basically because it will enable us to verify the extent of authenticity that the present media networks possess. This paper will therefore make an attempt to understand the evolution of media and the role played by the regulations and the laws in maintaining the integrity of the media field. Further, it will also analyze the role played by the media in the promotion of global justice and the issues related to it. Finally, this paper will highlight some of the views of different scholars to conclude.
