Abstract

One wonders how the education landscape will look like post the COVID-19 pandemic. What role will technology play in the new normal within the education sector? This article attempts to highlight the impacts and changes imposed by COVID-19 in the education sector. The article further raises some of the opportunities that technology can potentially offer in the education sector post COVID-19. The study offers a futurist view of the educational landscape where technology will be playing a major role in content delivery and learning. Future research agenda with regards to technologies highlighted will provide a starting point for future researchers on areas that needs urgent attention. The study, which is based on the transformational theory was conducted using a desk research methodology.
