Abstract

The looming environmental catastrophe, as well as human crises on multiple fronts, are results of corruption of our human hearts. This arises from a toxic educational process designed to turn us into human resources, with stunted spirituality. Purifying the planet requires purifying ourselves as a first step. Stepping outside the streams of our culture and history to examine our lives from an external perspective, provides insights not available internally. This article aims to provide an Islamic perspective on Western Civilization, in the hope of improving communications, and enabling us to strive together for better future outcomes for humanity as a whole
