Abstract

This short material reminds and highlights some reasons (from the micro-level) for the New Democracies’ instability. New inexperienced voter often is dependent on bureaucrats for their livelihood. His (her) hopes for a favorite candidate almost always are badly exaggerated. In the worst case, he uses his “one vote” one time and often is ready to vote for politicians openly hostile to Democracy itself. In the best cases under more or less sustainable democratic regime voters’ preferences are highly volatile so causing instability at least in the party system of New Democracy.
