What impact did Stoic philosophy have on Renaissance ethical thought and cultural expressions? The objective of the study is to elucidate the multifaceted interaction between Stoicism and Renaissance humanism, exploring how Stoic principles informed intellectual pursuits, ethical considerations, and societal transformations. The research methodology involves a comprehensive analysis of primary sources, including texts by prominent humanist thinkers such as Leonardo Bruni, Francesco Petrarch, Erasmus of Rotterdam, Justus Lipsius, and Michel de Montaigne, alongside ancient Stoic philosophers like Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. By synthesizing historical and philosophical perspectives, this study contributes to a nuanced understanding of the enduring impact of Stoic philosophy on European intellectual history and its relevance to contemporary ethical discourse.
