Abstract

English abstract: This is a new transcription, with some editorial corrections, and a number of critical comments, of Fredric Jameson's paper “Cognitive Mapping”— published in Marxism and the Interpretation of Culture, ed Cary Nelson and Lawrence Grossberg (Urbana and Chicago: University of Illinois Press, 1988, pp. 347-60). This includes the discussion after its presentation at a conference. Parenthetical comments, in italics and in Spanish, are by José Angel García Landa. The whole is followed by notes on some alternative meanings of the term 'cognitive mapping'.
