Abstract
Technology has invariably changed the way corporates interact with the stakeholders today. Investor Relations (IR) has established itself as a separate function in the organization, and the role of the Investor Relations Officer (IRO) has changed tremendously. Nowadays, IROs act as a company’s face to connect and communicate with investors and analysts. But despite this, it is evident that only a handful of business schools offer a course in the field of IR. This article attempts to emphasize the challenging role of the IRO and hence the importance of teaching IR to MBA students as a regular credit course.
