Abstract

Filters used in microwave communication have stringent requirement of compact size and high bandwidth. In this paper; spurline, double spurline and meander spurline bandstop filters for microwave communication are designed. The dimensions of these filters are varied to achieve a compact size and desirable bandwidth characteristics. The simulation and hardware results show that the proposed filters are able to miniaturize the filter size to offer a wider bandwidth with higher rejection level as compared to the conventional bandstop filters. The frequency response is also drawn for all the filters considered in this paper in order to demonstrate the enhancement in performance.
