Abstract

The therapy using natural or genetically engineered viruses, known as oncolytic viruses, to fight cancer, is called Oncolytic Virotherapy. Studying about oncolytic viruses are challenging for several technical reasons. In this article, a review of the history of this sector, brief mechanism of oncolytic viruses and the challenges ahead has been performed, focusing on the role of immunity in OV therapy.
