Abstract
This research paper aims to analyses in more details the attitude, methodology and the behavior of the Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo towards the fulfillment of the political criteria as a necessity of getting Kosovo closer to the EU. The paper will treat the development of the political theories regarding the integration, the way they were developed and the main political theories. Furthermore, it will be analyzed the enlargement history of the EU since its time of foundation. In this regard, will also be analyzed and discussed the EU legislation, will be given the answers on how the idea of EU enlargement was developed, which are the current actions of the EU regarding the enlargement and which are the current contractual relations between the EU and Kosovo. In this respect, a special attention will be given to the implementation of SAA. We will also discuss and treat the issue of the prolonged visa liberalization process as a necessity of opening the European perspective for Kosovo. In this aspect, we will use the methodology of analyzing the strategies that Kosovo currently applies when it comes to their implementation. Finally, in relation to each topic addressed, we will draw conclusions and concrete recommendations on the steps to be taken from the institutions to fasten the European integration process of Kosovo.
