Abstract
Earthquake is a natural disaster, which has occurred since earth came into existence. The earthquakes which come in remote areas only affect the ecology , but earthquakes which have their focus dangerously located very close to populated localities become a catastrophic phenomena in which thousands of people loose lives and structural damages of crore of rupees occurs. Earthquake can’t be prevented but by taking precautions before, during and after an earthquake it’s losses can be reduced. Previous experiences can be used in earthquake disaster management and mitigation.
