Abstract
Ukrainian Abstract: У статті розкривається актуальність проблеми розроблення адекватної стратегії розвитку університету, яка сприятиме посиленню позиції навчального закладу на ринку освітніх послуг. Здійснено аналіз стратегій розвитку університетів різних країн за спрямованістю діяльності та виокремлено їх особливості. Акцентується увага на змісті місій окремих зарубіжних університетів з метою виявлення їх орієнтації: освітньої, дослідницької, дослідницько-освітньої.Методологічну основу дослідження становлять провідні положення теорії наукового пізнання, системного підходу як методологічного способу вивчення управлінських явищ, теорії стратегічного менеджменту.Вивчення цієї проблеми на сучасному етапі доводить необхідність розроблення якісної стратегії розвитку університету.
English Abstract: The article presents the urgency of the problem of the developing of the adequate university development strategy, which will help to strengthen the position of the institution at the market of educational services. In the modern changing environment the problem of creating effective development strategies plays a key role in management of education institutions. The aim of the article is a general analysis of the development strategies of different universities. It is emphasized that the university’s development strategy should reflect the main processes of strategic management. Implemented the analysis of university development strategies of different countries in the orientation of their activities and determined its specifics. The author focuses the attention on the content of missions of some foreign universities for determination their orientation: educational, research, research-educational. Development strategy of the university forms the image of the institution which reinforces or weakens its position in the competitive environment.The methodological basis of the research constitute the leading positions of the theory of scientific cognition, the system approach as methodological method of study of the administrative phenomena, theory of strategic management. The study of this problem at the present stage proves the need for a qualitative university development strategy.
